This week's model is a bit of a rescue job as it started out with a thick coat of Army Builders Green Primer. I decided to skip trying to strip the paint and just treat it like a black primer and hope that enough layers would give me a decent pink color. So far, the results seem to be going well but I still have a few more layers of Fulgrim Pink and Vallejo Foundation White before I finished with the skin.
Let me start by saying that I really appreciate all of the views and support that I have gotten since restarting the blog. I have started to work on content for next month and would like to know what people are interested in reading/watching in March.
At the top left side of the site is a poll that will be open through Monday. Please vote on which of the following factions you would like to see articles/videos on during the month. If you something specific that you would like to see next month, feel free to leave a comment below.
This week's finished model is a skull thumpa for my first unit of savage orruks. With this model, I am 50% finished with the first warscroll of savage orruks. A bit of a milestone for me as I generally hate painting units that are larger than 3-5 models as it starts to feel repetitive. Good thing with Mr. Thumper is that finishing him is motivating me to paint another savage orruk right away.
Used this last week to finish up some models that were started at some point but sitting on my painting table waiting to be completed. This is the third spirit host for my first warscroll. Basing is pretty generic for now, but I plan on circling back with something better when I return to working on my death army.
Welcome to another Splash of Color. Last week's Splash got some pretty funny guesses on a couple of local Facebook groups, but nobody guessed the right color. Hopefully someone will figure out it out this week.
This week's Splash of Color is...
(Hint: It is a GW color and it is technically not a paint)
